Product Details

The NI PCI-6509 is a high-drive PCI digital I/O card designed for industrial test and control applications. It provides 96 bidirectional 5 V TTL/CMOS compatible channels, each output supports up to 24 mA drive current, which can directly drive solid state relays and small actuators without extra external power supply for output circuits. Users can configure each port as input or output flexibly via software. It integrates multiple practical protection and signal conditioning functions, including programmable power-up output states, digital input filters for noise elimination and switch debouncing, change detection and watchdog timer. The watchdog function will automatically switch channels to preset safe states when software or system failure occurs, effectively avoiding misoperation of field equipment.

This digital i/o card uses dual 50-pin connectors for signal wiring, compatible with matched shielded cables and terminal blocks to reduce electromagnetic interference. It supports NI-DAQmx driver and works well with LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI and other mainstream development software. It adopts software-timed digital operation mode, suitable for stable pattern output, status acquisition and safety interlock tasks. The programmable filter can suppress transient spike noise from switches and relays, improving the stability of input signal reading.

This digital i/o card is widely used in production fixture control, relay matrix testing, industrial actuator control, equipment status monitoring, automated test systems and OEM test platform integration. As a discontinued legacy NI hardware, PCI-6509 is mainly supplied as spare replacement parts for existing test systems. It maintains stable high-current digital driving performance, preserves original test programs and saves the cost of system reconstruction. Its operating temperature range is 0°C to 55°C, supporting continuous operation in laboratory and light industrial environments.
