Product Details
The NI PCI-6503 is a PCI bus digital I/O card built around a 24-bit programmable peripheral interface, designed for general digital signal control and data communication between industrial peripherals and host computers. It offers 24 bidirectional digital channels with 5 V TTL/CMOS logic level, each channel supports 2.4 mA output current. Users can configure the ports to run in unidirectional or bidirectional mode, and the hardware handshake function supports synchronous data exchange with external peripheral devices. This card adopts plug-and-play design, no extra card manager is required for hardware configuration. It is software-timed digital I/O, suitable for low-speed digital triggering, status reading and simple pattern output tasks. The 50-pin connector provides stable signal connection and works with matched shielded cables and terminal blocks to reduce external interference.
This digital i/o card supports flexible port configuration, and developers can set each port as input or output via software. It is compatible with traditional NI-DAQ driver and works seamlessly with LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Measurement Studio and other development environments. It can read switch status, send trigger pulses, communicate with peripheral controllers and realize simple interlock logic. Without isolation design, it is more suitable for stable laboratory and light industrial environments with small ground potential difference.
This digital i/o card is widely applied in fixture control, production test triggering, peripheral data handshake, equipment status monitoring, small automation control and OEM test system integration. As a mature legacy digital hardware, the PCI-6503 is mainly supplied as spare replacement parts for existing test systems. It keeps stable digital signal transmission performance, preserves original test programs and avoids expensive system reconstruction. Its operating temperature range is 0°C to 55°C, supporting continuous operation in normal laboratory and light industrial sites.
