Product Details
The NI PCI-6154 is an S-series channel-to-channel isolated simultaneous sampling multifunction DAQ card built for PCI bus test and measurement systems. It features 4 isolated differential analog input channels with independent ADC for each channel, supporting true simultaneous sampling at up to 250 kS/s per channel and 16-bit high resolution. It integrates 4 isolated analog output channels, 6 digital input lines, 4 digital output lines and two independent 32-bit counter-timer channels. Its biggest advantage is channel-to-channel isolation design, which effectively blocks common-mode noise and protects the card from voltage surges in industrial environments. Users can combine the four isolated analog output channels to generate a maximum signal of ±40 V, which expands the scope of stimulus signal generation. Each analog channel has dedicated ADC and DAC, eliminating phase skew between signals and ensuring reliable synchronous acquisition and output. The onboard FIFO buffer stabilizes continuous data streaming and reduces data loss risk during long-term logging tasks.
This DAQ card adopts a dedicated signal connector for all I/O wiring, compatible with matched shielded cables and signal conditioning accessories for industrial and high-noise field measurement. It supports flexible analog and digital triggering modes and configurable clock settings. The RTSI bus allows synchronization with other NI DAQ instruments to construct multi-board synchronized test systems. The dual 32-bit counter channels can perform pulse counting, frequency measurement, period capture and incremental encoder signal monitoring. Isolated analog output channels can generate stable excitation signals, cooperating with synchronous analog input channels to complete closed-loop stimulus-response testing. Digital I/O lines can read external status signals and drive low-power circuits for interlock control and trigger routing. It supports DMA data transmission to reduce CPU load during continuous sampling, and built-in self-calibration function compensates gain and offset drift to maintain stable measurement accuracy for long-running industrial tests.
This multifunction daq card is widely used in automotive component testing, industrial monitoring and control, high-speed continuous data logging, impedance spectroscopy measurement, power signal acquisition, sensor calibration, manufacturing test stations and OEM isolated measurement equipment integration. It supports NI-DAQmx drivers, compatible with LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI and C/C++ programming environments, so engineers can quickly develop isolated synchronous acquisition and control programs. As a discontinued legacy S-series DAQ hardware, the PCI-6154 is mainly used for maintenance and spare replacement of existing isolated simultaneous sampling measurement platforms. It can maintain reliable synchronous sampling and isolation performance, retain mature test workflows and avoid the high cost of rebuilding the whole measurement system. Its operating temperature range is 0°C to 55°C, supporting stable continuous operation in laboratory and light industrial environments.
