Product Details
The NI PCI-6123 is an S-series simultaneous sampling multifunction DAQ card built for PCI bus test and measurement platforms. It is equipped with 8 analog input channels with independent ADC for each channel, supporting true simultaneous sampling at up to 500 kS/s per channel and 16-bit high resolution. This model does not integrate analog output channels, focusing on high-precision multi-channel synchronous analog input collection. It comes with 8 bidirectional TTL digital I/O lines and two independent 24-bit counter-timer channels. Compared with PCI-6122, it expands analog input channels from 4 to 8, which is suitable for measurement systems requiring more synchronous signal acquisition. It provides multiple configurable voltage input ranges to adapt to various sensor and signal source levels. The dedicated ADC on each channel eliminates phase skew between sampled signals, which is critical for phase-sensitive measurement tasks. The onboard FIFO buffer stabilizes continuous data streaming and reduces the risk of data loss during long-time multi-channel synchronous acquisition.
This DAQ card is a full-length PCI board and needs a compatible chassis slot for installation. It uses a 68-pin SCSI connector for all signal wiring, compatible with matched shielded cables and signal conditioning accessories for isolated and low-level signal measurement. It supports analog and digital triggering modes and flexible clock configuration. Users can synchronize this card with other NI DAQ instruments through the RTSI bus to build multi-board synchronized test systems. The dual 24-bit counter channels can perform pulse counting, frequency measurement, period capture and incremental encoder signal monitoring. Digital I/O lines can read external status signals and drive low-power TTL circuits for trigger routing and interlock control. It supports DMA data transmission to reduce CPU occupancy during continuous sampling, and built-in self-calibration function compensates gain and offset drift to maintain stable measurement accuracy for long-running tests.
This multifunction daq card is widely used in telecom IF signal digitization, ADSL and ISDN manufacturing testing, transient waveform recording, ultrasonic and sonar testing, high-energy physics experiment measurement, multi-sensor dynamic monitoring, manufacturing test stations and OEM synchronous measurement equipment integration. It supports NI-DAQmx drivers, compatible with LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI and C/C++ programming environments, so engineers can quickly develop 8-channel synchronous high-precision acquisition programs. As a discontinued legacy S-series DAQ hardware, the PCI-6123 is mainly used for maintenance and spare replacement of existing simultaneous sampling measurement platforms. It can maintain reliable synchronous sampling performance, retain mature test workflows and avoid the high cost of rebuilding the whole measurement system. Its operating temperature range is 0°C to 55°C, supporting stable continuous operation in laboratory and light industrial environments.
