The NI PCI-6122 is a S-series simultaneous sampling multifunction DAQ card designed for PCI bus test and measurement platforms. It is equipped with 4 analog input channels with independent ADC for each channel, supporting true simultaneous sampling at up to 500 kS/s per channel and 16-bit high resolution. It integrates 8 bidirectional TTL digital I/O lines and two independent 24-bit counter-timer channels. This model does not come with analog output channels, focusing on high-precision synchronous analog input collection. It provides multiple configurable voltage input ranges to adapt to different signal sources. The dedicated ADC on each channel ensures there is no phase skew between sampled signals, which is essential for phase-sensitive measurement tasks. The onboard FIFO buffer stabilizes continuous data streaming and prevents data loss during long-time synchronous acquisition.

This DAQ card uses a 68-pin SCSI connector for all signal wiring, compatible with matched shielded cables and signal conditioning accessories for isolated and low-level signal measurement. It supports analog and digital triggering modes and flexible clock configuration. Users can synchronize this card with other NI DAQ instruments through the RTSI bus to build multi-board synchronized test systems. The dual 24-bit counter channels can perform pulse counting, frequency measurement, period capture and incremental encoder signal monitoring. Digital I/O lines can read external status signals and drive low-power TTL circuits for trigger routing and interlock control. It supports DMA data transmission to reduce CPU occupancy during continuous sampling, and built-in self-calibration function compensates gain and offset drift to maintain stable measurement accuracy for long-running tests.
