The NI PCI-6023E is a classic E-series multifunction DAQ card for PCI bus, designed for general analog voltage acquisition and simple digital monitoring tasks. It features 12-bit ADC resolution, supporting 16 single-ended analog input channels or 8 differential analog input channels with a maximum aggregate sampling rate of 200 kS/s. This model does not have analog output channels, focusing on analog input measurement, 8 bidirectional TTL digital I/O lines and two independent 24-bit counter-timer channels. The analog input supports multiple programmable gain settings and voltage ranges from ±0.05 V to ±10 V, which can adapt to different low-level sensor signals. Differential input configuration delivers strong common-mode rejection to suppress ground loop noise in industrial wiring environments.

This DAQ card adopts a 68-pin SCSI connector for all signal wiring, compatible with shielded cables and SCC, SCXI signal conditioning accessories for high-voltage and isolated sensor measurement. It supports software trigger and external hardware trigger for analog scanning, and the RTSI bus allows clock and trigger synchronization with other NI DAQ and measurement hardware to build multi-board synchronized test systems. The two 24-bit counter modules can handle pulse counting, frequency measurement, period capture and simple encoder feedback monitoring. Digital I/O ports can read external status signals and drive low-power TTL devices for interlock and indicator control. The standard PCI form factor fits industrial PC chassis and uses bus-powered design without extra external power supply. It supports DMA data transmission to reduce CPU occupancy during continuous data logging, and built-in self-calibration function helps reduce offset and gain drift for stable long-term measurement.
