Product Details

The NI PCI-5124 is a high-performance 12-bit PCI digitizer and virtual oscilloscope board, built for high-precision time-domain waveform capture and frequency domain analysis. It features 2 simultaneously sampled analog input channels with a real-time sampling rate up to 200 MS/s and 150 MHz analog bandwidth. For repetitive signals, it supports equivalent-time interleaved sampling to reach 4 GS/s effective sampling rate, which is capable of capturing ultra-fast periodic pulses. It delivers spurious-free dynamic range greater than 75 dBc, ensuring clean signal acquisition for high fidelity measurement tasks. Users can select input impedance as 50 Ω or 1 MΩ on each channel independently, and the programmable input voltage ranges cover 200 mVpp to 20 Vpp to match different signal amplitudes.

This digitizer card comes with deep on-board acquisition memory, and the memory depth varies from 8 MB to 512 MB per channel for long waveform recording. It supports flexible trigger modes including edge trigger, window trigger, hysteresis trigger and digital trigger, with 50 ps high-precision timestamping function. The front panel is equipped with BNC connectors for analog input and external trigger, plus SMB clock I/O ports and AUX PFI lines for digital trigger and synchronization routing. It adopts NI-TClk synchronization technology, which allows multiple PCI-5124 or compatible SMC series instruments to be synchronized together with low skew to expand multi-channel measurement systems. Built-in self-calibration function helps reduce offset and gain drift over time, lowering regular calibration workload. It also supports AC or DC coupling and integrated anti-aliasing filters to suppress out-of-band noise and improve signal quality. The standard PCI form factor fits industrial PC chassis and integrates smoothly into automated test benches.

This high resolution digitizer card is widely used in semiconductor component validation, power electronics transient testing, high-speed serial signal inspection, aerospace pulse signal measurement, radar echo testing, and electronic product frequency response characterization. It is driven by the NI-SCOPE driver, compatible with LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI and C/C++ programming environments, and supports continuous data streaming, FFT spectrum analysis, jitter measurement and waveform logging. As a legacy high-speed digitizer hardware, the PCI-5124 is mainly used for maintenance and replacement of existing high-precision automated test platforms. It can maintain stable measurement performance for long unattended testing, protect mature test sequences and avoid the high cost of rebuilding the whole test framework. Its operating temperature range is 0°C to 55°C, suitable for continuous operation in laboratory and industrial test environments.
