Product Details

The NI PCI-5102 DAQScope is a PCI bus high-speed digitizer card, functioning as a software-defined oscilloscope for automated waveform capture and time-domain signal measurement. It is equipped with 2 single-ended analog input channels with 8-bit vertical resolution, supporting real-time sampling rate up to 20 MS/s per channel, and the random interleaved sampling (RIS) technology boosts effective sampling rate to 1 GS/s for repetitive signal capture. Its analog bandwidth reaches 15 MHz, which is suitable for observing fast transient pulses, switching signals and medium-frequency electronic waveforms. The card carries 663,000 samples of on-board acquisition memory, and it can stream up to 16 million samples to host RAM through PCI bus mastering to support long waveform recording.

It provides multiple software-selectable input voltage ranges from ±50 mV to ±5 V, and users can extend the measurement range to ±50 V by using matched attenuator probes. Front-panel BNC connectors are adopted for CH0, CH1 and external trigger input, while PFI lines handle digital trigger and synchronization signals. It supports flexible trigger configurations including analog edge trigger, programmable trigger threshold, hysteresis adjustment and delay trigger. The RTSI bus interface allows synchronization with other NI measurement boards to build multi-instrument test systems. TTL/CMOS compatible digital trigger ports support rising or falling edge triggering, which helps align waveform acquisition with external control pulses. The standard PCI form factor fits industrial PC chassis and simplifies integration into existing automated test benches.

This high speed digitizer card is widely used in power supply transient testing, switching circuit waveform inspection, electronic component validation, sensor pulse signal recording, educational laboratory measurement and low-cost automated oscilloscope test systems. It works with NI-SCOPE driver, LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI and C/C++ development environments, and can use virtual oscilloscope software to realize waveform display, spectrum calculation and data logging. As a legacy DAQScope series hardware, the PCI-5102 is mainly used for maintenance and replacement of old automated test platforms. It can reliably capture repetitive and transient waveforms, preserve mature test scripts and avoid expensive redesign of the whole measurement setup. Its operating temperature range is 0°C to 55°C, supporting stable continuous operation under normal laboratory and light industrial test conditions.
