Product Details

The NI PCI-4474 is a compact 24-bit DSA dynamic signal acquisition card for PCI bus platforms, designed for sound and vibration measurement in small-scale test systems. It is equipped with 4 differential analog input channels, all channels support simultaneous sampling up to 102.4 kS/s, and it provides 110 dB dynamic range to capture subtle acoustic and vibration signals. Each channel is built with IEPE constant current excitation, which can directly supply power for IEPE accelerometers and measurement microphones without extra signal conditioning accessories. The card integrates delta-sigma ADC and built-in brick-wall anti-aliasing filters, which automatically suppress aliasing noise and deliver clean waveform data for spectrum analysis.

It supports software configurable AC and DC coupling modes, with a fixed 3.4 Hz high-pass cutoff frequency for AC coupling, suitable for low-frequency vibration and noise measurement. The input voltage range is ±10 V, and it adopts SMB connectors for stable and compact sensor wiring. It supports analog trigger, external digital trigger and pre-trigger functions. The RTSI synchronization bus allows multiple PCI-4474 cards to be synchronized together to expand measurement channels when more sensors are needed. Differential input architecture effectively reduces ground loop interference and electromagnetic noise, which improves measurement stability in laboratory and factory test environments. The standard PCI form factor fits ordinary industrial PC chassis, and it supports continuous data streaming, FFT spectrum analysis, harmonic testing and time-domain waveform recording for multi-point dynamic measurement.

This DSA acquisition card is widely used in small modal testing, single equipment vibration diagnosis, product acoustic performance inspection, laboratory noise testing, small motor condition monitoring and aerospace component vibration screening. It is fully compatible with NI-DAQmx driver, LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI and C/C++ programming environments, and works well with NI Sound and Vibration Toolkit to build automated test programs. As a discontinued legacy DSA hardware, the PCI-4474 is mainly used for maintenance and upgrade of existing 4-channel sound and vibration test benches. It can maintain stable synchronous sampling accuracy during long-time unattended data recording, preserve mature test sequences and avoid the high cost of rebuilding the whole measurement system. Its operating temperature is 0°C to 50°C, supporting reliable continuous operation for batch quality verification and comparative data analysis.
