Product Details
The NI PCI-4472 is a high-density 24-bit DSA dynamic signal acquisition card built for PCI bus computers, designed for multi-channel sound and vibration measurement. It comes with 8 analog input channels, all supporting simultaneous sampling at a maximum rate of 102.4 kS/s, and delivers 110 dB dynamic range for capturing low-level vibration and acoustic signals. Each channel integrates independent 4 mA IEPE constant current excitation, which directly powers IEPE accelerometers and measurement microphones without extra signal conditioning modules. The board adopts delta-sigma ADC with built-in brick-wall anti-aliasing filters, which automatically suppress aliasing noise and simplify signal preprocessing for spectrum analysis.
It supports both AC and DC coupling, and the input bandwidth starts from 3.4 Hz, making it suitable for low-frequency vibration and noise monitoring. The card uses SMB connectors for signal wiring, which provide stable and compact connection for transducers. It supports multiple trigger modes including analog trigger, external digital trigger and pre-trigger. With the RTSI synchronization bus, multiple PCI-4472 cards can be linked together to expand channel count for large-scale modal test arrays. Differential input design helps reduce ground loop noise and interference in factory and laboratory environments. The standard PCI form factor fits standard industrial PC chassis for easy installation and replacement. It supports continuous streaming recording, FFT analysis, order tracking and time-domain waveform logging for multi-point measurement tasks.
This dynamic signal acquisition card is widely used in large structural modal testing, vehicle NVH multi-point measurement, wind tunnel acoustic testing, building vibration monitoring, rotating machinery array condition monitoring and aerospace multi-sensor vibration screening. It is compatible with NI-DAQmx driver, LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI and C/C++ programming environments, and can cooperate with NI Sound and Vibration Toolkit to build customized automated test systems. As a legacy multi-channel DSA hardware, the PCI-4472 is mainly used for maintenance and upgrade of existing high-channel-count vibration and acoustic test benches. It maintains stable synchronous sampling accuracy for long-term unattended data recording, preserves mature test sequences and avoids the high cost of redesigning the whole measurement system. Its operating temperature range is 0°C to 50°C, supporting reliable continuous operation for batch quality inspection and comparative data analysis.
