Product Details
The NI PCI-4461 is a high-precision 24-bit dynamic signal acquisition and generation DSA card for PCI bus computers, specially designed for sound and vibration testing that requires synchronized excitation and measurement. It is equipped with 2 analog input channels and 2 analog output channels, all channels support simultaneous sampling and updating at up to 204.8 kS/s, delivering a high dynamic range of 118 dB for capturing subtle acoustic and vibration signals. This card supports software-selectable IEPE conditioning, which directly supplies power for IEPE accelerometers and measurement microphones without extra signal conditioning modules. It also carries TEDS sensor identification function, which can automatically read sensor calibration information to simplify test setup and reduce manual configuration errors.
Six adjustable gain settings are available for analog input, covering input ranges from ±316 mV to ±42.4 V, and each channel supports independent AC or DC coupling configuration. Built-in digital anti-aliasing filters effectively suppress out-of-band interference and ensure clean signal for FFT analysis and frequency response testing. It supports multiple trigger modes including analog trigger, digital trigger and pre-trigger, and can synchronize clocks with other NI measurement hardware to build multi-card distributed test systems. The board adopts differential or pseudodifferential signal wiring modes to restrain ground loop noise, and it uses shielded connector to improve stability in noisy factory and laboratory environments. It can complete stimulus-response testing, transfer function measurement, spectrum analysis and real-time waveform recording in one single hardware unit.
This sound vibration DSA card is widely used in automotive NVH testing, structural modal analysis, shaker control, high-fidelity audio component calibration, rotating machinery condition monitoring and aerospace product vibration screening. It is fully compatible with NI-DAQmx driver, LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI and mainstream C/C++ development environments, and works well with NI sound and vibration toolkit to build automated test sequences. As a high-performance legacy DSA device, the PCI-4461 is commonly used for maintenance and upgrade of existing stimulus-response test benches. It can maintain consistent measurement accuracy for long-term unattended testing, protect mature test procedures and avoid expensive reconstruction of the whole measurement system. Its operating temperature ranges from 0°C to 50°C, supporting stable continuous operation for batch quality verification and repeated data comparison.
