Product Details
The NI PCI-4461 is a high-performance 24-bit dynamic signal analyzer DSA card designed for PCI bus industrial computers, featuring synchronized analog input and analog output channels for closed-loop stimulus-response measurement. It has 2 analog input channels and 2 analog output channels, all supporting simultaneous sampling and updating at a maximum rate of 204.8 kS/s, with alias-free bandwidth up to 92 kHz. This card delivers 118 dB dynamic range, which can capture tiny vibration and acoustic signals accurately even in environments with background noise. It provides built-in software-controlled IEPE conditioning, which supplies constant current excitation for IEPE accelerometers and measurement microphones, removing the need for separate signal conditioning hardware. The TEDS function is integrated on each channel, enabling automatic reading of sensor calibration data to cut setup time and reduce manual configuration errors.
Each analog input channel supports independent gain adjustment with six gain levels ranging from -20 dB to +30 dB, and the full-scale input range covers ±316 mV to ±42.4 V. Users can switch AC or DC coupling for individual channels according to test requirements. It supports differential and pseudodifferential wiring modes to suppress ground loop interference, which is very helpful for long sensor cables. Multiple trigger modes are available, including analog trigger, digital trigger and pre-trigger. With RTSI bus, multiple cards can be linked together to realize multi-device synchronization and expand the measurement channel count for large test systems. The on-board digital anti-aliasing and anti-imaging filters keep signal clean for FFT spectrum analysis, frequency response testing and order tracking. It adopts standard PCI form factor and shielded I/O connector to improve anti-interference performance in factory and laboratory test stations.
This dynamic signal analyzer card is widely used in automotive NVH testing, structural modal testing, shaker closed-loop control, loudspeaker and microphone acoustic calibration, rotating machinery condition monitoring, aerospace component vibration screening and noise source localization. It is fully compatible with NI-DAQmx driver, LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI and C/C++ programming environments, and works seamlessly with NI Sound and Vibration Toolkit and Order Analysis Toolkit to build automated test sequences. As a legacy high-precision DSA hardware, the PCI-4461 is mainly used for maintenance and upgrade of existing stimulus-response test benches. It can maintain stable measurement accuracy during long-time continuous testing, preserve mature test procedures and avoid the high cost of redesigning the whole measurement system. Its reliable performance supports unattended batch testing and consistent data comparison for quality inspection.
