The NI PCI-4454 is a DSA dynamic signal acquisition card belonging to the NI 445X series, built for standard PCI bus computers and optimized for low-frequency sound and vibration measurement tasks. It is equipped with 4 single-ended analog input channels with 16-bit resolution, and all channels support simultaneous sampling to keep consistent phase data for multi-channel synchronous testing. It adopts delta-sigma ADC architecture with 128x oversampling and built-in digital anti-aliasing filters, which effectively filter out aliasing interference and maintain stable signal fidelity. The sampling rate of this dynamic signal acquisition card can reach up to 51.2 kS/s, with an input bandwidth of DC to 23 kHz, and fixed bipolar input range ±10 V without adjustable gain setting. It has a dynamic range of 95 dB and total harmonic distortion lower than -90 dB at 1 kHz, which ensures reliable capture of weak low-frequency vibration and acoustic signals.

Each channel supports software configurable AC or DC coupling, and it supports flexible trigger modes including pre-trigger, post-trigger and external digital trigger. It comes with self-calibration function to automatically eliminate offset and gain drift errors, which greatly reduces the frequency of manual calibration in long-term measurement. It also reserves TTL digital I/O lines to realize trigger synchronization and signal interlock with shakers, power amplifiers and other external test instruments. The card uses a standard PCI form factor and shielded connector, which helps suppress electromagnetic noise in factory and laboratory environments. It can connect with accelerometers, microphones and other transducers, and supports time-domain waveform recording, FFT spectrum analysis, transfer function testing and noise floor measurement.

This dynamic signal acquisition card is widely applied in low-frequency modal testing, building vibration monitoring, environmental noise testing, small motor vibration inspection, audio low-frequency response calibration and product structural vibration screening. It is compatible with NI-DAQmx driver, LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI and C/C++ programming environments, and can cooperate with NI sound and vibration toolkit to build customized automated test systems. As a legacy DSA hardware, the PCI-4454 is mainly used for maintenance and upgrade of existing low-frequency vibration and acoustic test benches. It can run continuous unattended data acquisition stably, retain mature test sequences and avoid the high cost of rebuilding the whole measurement system. It performs well under normal laboratory and industrial test temperature, and meets the requirement of batch repeated testing and data comparison for quality verification.
