Product Details
The NI PCI-4451 is a high-performance DSA dynamic signal acquisition and generation card designed for PCI bus industrial computers, belonging to the NI 445X series for professional sound and vibration testing. It comes with 2 channels of simultaneously sampled 16-bit analog input and 2 channels of synchronized analog output, adopting delta-sigma ADC architecture with 128x oversampling and built-in digital anti-aliasing filters to suppress aliasing noise and maintain excellent signal fidelity. The sampling rate can be adjusted from 5 kS/s to 204.8 kS/s via software, supporting flexible frequency configuration for different dynamic testing tasks. This dynamic signal acquisition card guarantees strict phase consistency across all input and output channels, which is essential for modal testing, frequency response measurement and multi-channel synchronous signal excitation and collection.
It supports independent AC/DC coupling setting on each channel, multiple trigger modes including pre-trigger, post-trigger and external digital trigger, together with two 24-bit counter/timers and 8 TTL-compatible digital I/O lines. These resources can realize synchronous timing control and signal interlock with external actuators, shakers and other test equipment. The board features low distortion and high dynamic range, suitable for direct connection with accelerometers, microphones and other vibration and acoustic sensors. It can complete time-domain waveform recording, FFT spectrum analysis, transfer function calculation and noise floor testing in one hardware unit. The standard PCI form factor fits common industrial PC chassis, and it uses a dedicated shielded connector to reduce electromagnetic interference in factory and laboratory environments.
This card is widely used in automotive NVH testing, mechanical modal analysis, machinery fault diagnosis, speaker and microphone acoustic calibration, aerospace component vibration screening and product structural fatigue testing. It is fully compatible with NI-DAQmx driver, LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI and C/C++ development environments, and can cooperate with the Sound and Vibration Toolkit to quickly build customized automated test programs. As a legacy DSA device, the PCI-4451 is commonly used for maintenance and upgrade of existing vibration and acoustic test benches. It can run long-term continuous signal acquisition and excitation without frequent calibration, helping users retain mature test sequences and avoid the high cost of rebuilding the whole measurement system. Its stable performance supports unattended batch testing and repeated comparison of test data for quality verification.
