Product Details:
NI FP-DO-400 is an 8-channel sourcing digital output module designed for the standard FieldPoint distributed I/O platform, and this sourcing output module delivers reliable field control for general industrial automation systems. It provides sourcing-type switching signals to drive various low-voltage actuators and auxiliary devices on the production site. It is widely used for solenoid valve actuation, contactor coil control, indicator light triggering, small relay driving and interlock logic output in assembly lines, conveyor systems and packaging machines. Developers can configure channel status, set startup logic and perform online diagnosis via LabVIEW, FieldPoint drivers and NI configuration software, which helps simplify distributed switching control deployment and daily maintenance work.
Key specifications and parameters: 8 independent sourcing output channels, supporting 5–30 VDC load voltage range. Each channel can supply up to 1.5 A current at 10–30 VDC, with a total module current limit of 8 A. It features 3000 Vrms isolation and 2300 Vrms transient overvoltage withstand capability, effectively suppressing ground loop interference and protecting backplane and communication modules from surge damage. Built-in flyback diodes absorb reverse electromotive force from inductive loads such as solenoid coils to extend service life. Users can customize the default startup state of each channel to match safety interlock requirements. Each channel has an independent on/off LED indicator for quick status checking. The operating temperature range is -40 ℃ to 70 ℃, suitable for cabinet installation in harsh factory environments. It supports hot swap on the FieldPoint terminal base, and module replacement will not interrupt the operation of other modules on the same bank. It is installed on a dedicated FieldPoint terminal base for stable field wiring connection.
This field control module is an end-of-life legacy NI component. We supply fully inspected and tested refurbished units for replacement and maintenance of existing FieldPoint automation systems. It works with FP series terminal bases and FieldPoint communication adapters to build stable distributed I/O networks. It is widely adopted in machinery automation, water treatment, chemical auxiliary control and logistics conveying systems. As a classic sourcing digital output unit, it offers dependable actuator drive for legacy distributed control projects.
