NI cFP-RTD-122 is an 8-channel RTD input module built for the Compact FieldPoint distributed I/O platform, and this rtd module provides stable and high-precision temperature acquisition for harsh industrial automation sites. It supports both 2-wire and 3-wire platinum RTD sensors, including common Pt100 and Pt1000 types. The 3-wire connection can effectively compensate the error caused by lead wire resistance, which greatly improves the accuracy of temperature measurement. It is widely applied for pipeline temperature detection, industrial furnace thermal monitoring, chemical reactor temperature tracking, food drying process control, energy pipeline monitoring and environmental chamber measurement. This module can be fully configured and operated with NI LabVIEW software, FieldPoint dedicated drivers and NI MAX configuration tool, which brings convenient parameter setup, data reading and online diagnosis.

Key specifications and parameters: 16-bit delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter, 0.25 mA constant excitation current source. It has two selectable resistance measurement ranges, 0–400 Ω and 0–4000 Ω. The measurable temperature range is from -200 ℃ to 850 ℃, and output units can be switched among ℃, ℉ and Kelvin according to actual needs. Built-in digital filter supports 50 Hz and 60 Hz notch filtering to suppress power frequency interference from factory power supplies. It adopts bank isolation design with 2300 Vrms dielectric withstand test rating, which blocks ground loop noise and protects the backplane and controller from transient voltage surge. The operating temperature range of the module is -40 ℃ to 70 ℃, adapting to extreme outdoor and workshop environments. It supports hot swap on the Compact FieldPoint backplane, and replacing this module will not interrupt the operation of other modules on the same bank. Two status LED indicators, POWER and READY, offer straightforward visual feedback for quick fault inspection and routine maintenance.

This temperature acquisition module is an end-of-life legacy NI component. We supply fully inspected and tested refurbished units for equipment replacement and system maintenance of old automation lines. It needs to cooperate with cFP-CB-1 general terminal base or cFP-CB-3 isothermal terminal base for reliable field sensor wiring. As a reliable resistance signal acquisition device, it is widely used in distributed multi-point temperature monitoring projects in chemical, energy, water treatment, pharmaceutical and machinery manufacturing industries.
