Product Details:
NI 9234 is a 4-channel C Series sound and vibration input module built for CompactDAQ and CompactRIO platforms, and this vibration acquisition module delivers high-fidelity dynamic signal capture for IEPE accelerometers and other vibration sensors. It supports software-selectable IEPE excitation, AC coupling and DC coupling modes, so users can connect both IEPE piezoelectric sensors and non-IEPE transducers including tachometers and proximity probes. It is widely used for rotating machinery condition monitoring, engine vibration testing, acoustic noise measurement, structural modal analysis, bearing fault detection, automotive powertrain validation and industrial equipment predictive maintenance. Engineers can deploy frequency spectrum analysis, order tracking and FFT processing with LabVIEW Sound and Vibration Toolkit and NI-DAQmx driver, and the built-in TEDS function can automatically read sensor calibration information to simplify iepe sensor measurement setup.
Key specifications and parameters: 24-bit delta-sigma ADC, 4 fully simultaneous sampling channels, maximum sampling rate up to 51.2 kS/s per channel, input voltage range ±5 V, 102 dB dynamic range. The IEPE excitation current is 2 mA, which can be turned on or off via software. Each channel integrates automatic anti-aliasing filter that adjusts cutoff frequency according to the sampling rate, effectively eliminating aliasing noise in dynamic signal acquisition. It supports TEDS 1.0 and TEDS 2.0 smart sensors for automatic sensor identification and parameter loading. The front panel adopts BNC connectors for convenient coaxial cable connection, suitable for low-noise signal transmission. Each channel has ±30 V overvoltage protection to prevent transient surge damage to the circuit. The operating temperature range is -40 ℃ to 70 ℃, storage temperature -40 ℃ to 85 ℃, 10%–90% non-condensing humidity. Conformal coated version is available for humid and dusty industrial environments. Hardware triggering and external clock synchronization are supported to align sampling with other DAQ modules and test instruments. Status LEDs help technicians check power and communication status quickly during commissioning and troubleshooting.
This dynamic signal acquisition module is a classic NI C Series hardware. We supply fully inspected and tested refurbished units for replacement and upgrade of existing vibration monitoring and acoustic test systems. It can be combined with other C Series analog input, counter and digital modules to build complete condition monitoring systems. It is widely adopted in wind turbine monitoring, aerospace structural testing, motor fault diagnosis, railway vehicle testing and university vibration research labs. As a reliable simultaneous sound capture unit, it provides stable high-speed dynamic signal sampling for long-term machine condition monitoring projects.
