Details

Product Details:

NI 6704 is a high-density software-timed analog output DAQ board available in PCI and PXI versions, and this analog output module provides stable voltage and current signal generation for laboratory testing and industrial simulation systems. It integrates 16 independent voltage output channels and 16 independent current output channels, which can run simultaneously and be configured separately to simulate sensor signals for downstream control equipment. It is widely applied for PLC signal simulation, valve actuator calibration, transducer signal replication, test bench stimulus generation, automotive component validation, and educational control system experiments. Users can configure channel parameters, set output values and execute automated test scripts via LabVIEW and NI-DAQmx driver, which brings great convenience for static signal debugging and closed-loop verification.

Key specifications and parameters: 16-bit DAC resolution, 16 voltage output channels ranging from -10.1 V to +10.1 V, 16 current output channels covering 0.1 mA to 20.2 mA, fully compatible with standard 4-20mA industrial loop requirements. It also includes 8 channels of TTL/CMOS digital I/O for auxiliary interlock and trigger signal transmission. The module uses a 68-pin shielded SCSI II connector for external wiring, and it can work with SCB-68 terminal block for safe and tidy field connection. It adopts software-timed static output architecture, suitable for stable, low-speed signal sourcing rather than high-speed waveform streaming. Each channel supports user-defined power-on default state to meet safety requirements of test stations. The operating temperature range is 0 ℃ to 55 ℃, storage temperature -20 ℃ to 70 ℃, 10%–90% non-condensing humidity. Status indicators help engineers check communication and output status during commissioning and troubleshooting.

This static signal generation board is an end-of-life legacy NI hardware. We supply fully inspected and calibrated refurbished units for replacement and maintenance of old test and simulation systems. It can cooperate with other NI DAQ acquisition cards to form a complete stimulus-response measurement platform. It is widely used in process control simulation, electronic product verification, aerospace ground test, and university automation research. As a reliable 4-20ma analog sourcing device, it offers accurate static analog output for long-term test and calibration projects.
