NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS cFP-RTD-122 is an 8-channel 16-bit delta-sigma RTD and resistance input module for Compact FieldPoint backplane, supporting 2-wire and 3-wire RTD sensors including Pt100 and Pt1000. It uses 0.25mA stable excitation current source, built-in linearization circuit, each channel can be configured to output temperature value in ℃,℉,°K or raw resistance value. Resistance measuring range includes 0–400Ω and 0–4000Ω, temperature measuring range -200℃ to 850℃, resolution up to 0.016℃. It adopts bank isolation design with 2300Vrms dielectric withstand test, supports 50Hz and 60Hz noise filtering. It has POWER and READY status LED indicators for module diagnosis. The operating temperature range is -40℃ to 70℃, it supports hot swap on powered Compact FieldPoint backplane without disturbing other modules on the same bank. This legacy I/O module is end-of-life, available stock are refurbished replacement spares for vintage industrial temperature measurement systems.

This RTD temperature acquisition module is widely used for platinum resistance temperature measurement in industrial sites, suitable for furnace, pipeline, reactor and environmental temperature monitoring. It can work with all cFP series real-time controllers and cFP-1804/cFP-1808 network interface modules, compatible with LabVIEW, FieldPoint driver and NI MAX configuration software. The 3-wire wiring mode can effectively compensate most lead wire resistance error and improve temperature measurement accuracy. It is suitable for distributed multi-point temperature monitoring in process automation.

It adopts compact modular structure, powered by Compact FieldPoint backplane. It is matched with cFP-CB-1 or cFP-CB-3 isothermal terminal base for field wiring. Hot swap is supported on powered backplane. The structure meets industrial shock, vibration and EMC requirements for cabinet and panel installation.

It is widely deployed in chemical thermal process stations, food drying systems, energy pipeline monitoring racks and legacy Compact FieldPoint distributed I/O systems needing multi-channel platinum resistance temperature acquisition.
