NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS cFP-DO-403 is a high-density 16-channel sinking digital output module for Compact FieldPoint backplane, supporting 5–30 VDC load drive. Each channel can carry up to 2 A current, total aggregate current limit is 16 A. It adopts bank isolation design, 250 Vrms CAT II continuous channel-to-ground isolation, 2300 Vrms short-time dielectric withstand test, no channel-to-channel isolation. It is equipped with flyback diodes for inductive load protection, overcurrent protection and independent channel status LED indicators. The output impedance is 0.12 Ω, off-state leakage current is less than 50 µA, output delay time is 50 µs. The operating temperature range is -40℃ to 70℃, it supports hot swap on powered Compact FieldPoint backplane and will not affect other modules on the same bank. This legacy I/O module is end-of-life, available stock are refurbished replacement spares for vintage industrial automation systems.

This sinking digital output module is suitable for driving solenoid valves, contactor coils, indicator lights and other 24VDC field actuators. It can work with all cFP series real-time controllers and cFP-1804/cFP-1808 network interface modules, compatible with LabVIEW, FieldPoint driver and NI MAX configuration software. The bank isolation structure suppresses ground loop interference and protects the backplane and controller from surge damage. It is widely used for high-density distributed switch control on factory automation sites.

It adopts compact modular structure, powered by Compact FieldPoint backplane. It matches cFP-CB-1 or cFP-CB-3 terminal base for field wiring. Hot swap is supported on powered backplane. The structure meets industrial shock, vibration and EMC requirements for cabinet and panel installation.
