NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS cFP-AI-111 is a 16-channel 16-bit analog current input module for Compact FieldPoint backplane, only for current signal measurement. It supports software-selectable current ranges including ±20 mA, 0–20 mA, 4–20 mA, with configurable filter options of 50 Hz,60 Hz and 500 Hz. It adopts bank optical isolation, 2300 Vrms transient dielectric withstand test, no channel-to-channel isolation. It has built-in overcurrent protection at ±30 mA and overvoltage protection, and provides loop power terminals for two-wire transmitters. The operating temperature range is -40℃ to 70℃, it supports hot swap on powered Compact FieldPoint backplane without affecting other modules in the bank. This legacy I/O module is end-of-life, available stock are refurbished replacement spares for vintage industrial measurement systems.

This current input module is widely used for standard industrial transmitter signal collection, such as pressure, flow, liquid level and temperature transmitters with 4-20mA output. It can work with all cFP series real-time controllers and cFP-1804/cFP-1808 network interface modules, compatible with LabVIEW, FieldPoint driver and NI MAX configuration software. The bank isolation design suppresses ground loop interference and protects the backplane and controller from transient surge. It is suitable for multi-point distributed process signal acquisition on factory sites.

It adopts compact modular structure, powered by Compact FieldPoint backplane. Terminal base integrates signal terminals and loop power supply output. Hot swap is supported on powered backplane. The structure meets industrial shock, vibration and EMC requirements for cabinet and panel installation.

It is widely deployed in water treatment monitoring stations, chemical process control systems, energy collection racks and legacy Compact FieldPoint distributed I/O systems needing high-density 4-20mA signal acquisition.
