Product Details:
NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS BNC-2121 is a shielded BNC terminal block specially designed for NI 660x series counter/timer boards, it is equipped with eight dedicated BNC connectors, six user-configurable BNC ports and spring terminals for full access to counter and timing I/O signals. It adopts 68-pin female SCSI interface to connect NI counter/timer DAQ hardware, integrated built-in test signal source, can output pulse train, trigger signal and quadrature encoder simulation signal for board function debugging and verification. It comes with desktop mounting bracket, and supports optional DIN rail installation. The whole shell adopts shielding structure to restrain electromagnetic noise and guarantee signal integrity for timing measurement. This legacy DAQ accessory is end-of-life, available stock are refurbished replacement spares for vintage test and measurement systems.
This terminal block converts dense 68-pin counter signals into convenient BNC interfaces, which is suitable for connecting encoder, pulse sensor, trigger source and test instruments via coaxial cables. It is mainly matched with NI 6601,6602 and other counter/timer modules, compatible with LabVIEW, NI-DAQmx and Traditional NI-DAQ drivers. The spring terminal enables fast wiring without soldering for auxiliary digital signals. The internal simulation encoder and pulse signal source can help engineers finish function inspection without external signal generator, greatly improving the debugging efficiency of timing measurement systems. Optimized shielding design reduces crosstalk, suitable for high-precision pulse and encoder acquisition scenarios.
It adopts compact shielded housing, passive design without independent power supply, signal power is supplied from the connected DAQ counter device. Front panel arranges multiple BNC ports and spring terminals, rear side is 68-pin SCSI connector. Hot swap operation is not supported; power off the DAQ system before plugging or removing cables. The mechanical structure meets industrial shock and vibration standards for bench and cabinet installation.
It is widely deployed in motion measurement test stations, pulse acquisition calibration platforms, aerospace automatic test equipment and legacy counter/timer measurement systems needing encoder and trigger signal access. Typical application scenarios include signal interface replacement for NI 660x counter board, high-precision timing signal terminal maintenance and vintage measurement platform retrofit. Automation integrators select this NI BNC-2121 for its 14 BNC ports, spring terminals,68pin SCSI interface,built-in encoder test signal, shielded housing.
