MOTOROLA MVME2100 belongs to MVME2100 series 6U single-slot VMEbus embedded single board computer, built around MPC8240 integrated processor with MPC603e PowerPC core, available at 200MHz or 250MHz, integrating memory controller and PCI bridge. This variant is configured with 32MB or 64MB SDRAM with optional ECC protection, 1MB boot flash ROM and up to 8MB user flash storage, 8KB battery-backed NVRAM with real-time clock, two EIA-232-D serial ports, 10/100Base-TX fast Ethernet RJ45 interface. It carries one 32-bit PMC expansion slot plus three PC•MIP mezzanine slots for flexible I/O extension. It supports VMEbus A16/A24/A32 addressing and D8/D16/D32 block DMA transfer, can serve as VME system controller, integrates programmable timers and hardware watchdog circuit. The built-in firmware monitor supports serial console debugging, flash boot and network boot configuration. This legacy embedded board is end-of-life, available stock are refurbished replacement spares for vintage industrial and test automation systems.

This SBC can act as VMEbus master or slave and realizes seamless data exchange between VME backplane and PCI peripheral bus via the internal bridge chip.
