MOTOROLA MVME162-201 belongs to MVME162LX series 6U VMEbus single board computer, equipped with MC68040 25MHz 32-bit processor with integrated hardware FPU and 8KB on-chip cache. This variant is configured with 4MB parity DRAM, 512KB battery-backed SRAM, four EIA-232-D serial ports and two IndustryPack expansion slots, it does not integrate SCSI controller and Ethernet transceiver. It carries 1MB flash memory for firmware storage, battery-backed NVRAM, real-time clock, watchdog timer and complete VME system controller function. The onboard firmware supports serial debug, memory test and boot configuration. This legacy SBC is discontinued, available stock are refurbished spare units for vintage VME automation systems.

This VME card can serve as VMEbus master or slave, supporting A16/A24/A32 addressing modes and D8/D16/D32 data transfer, with built-in interrupt handling capability.
