MOTOROLA MVME162-200 is an early entry-level 6U VMEbus single board computer from Motorola MVME162 series. It adopts MC68020 16MHz 32-bit microprocessor with basic MMU, no built-in hardware FPU. This configuration carries 2MB non-parity DRAM, 128KB battery-backed SRAM and 256KB EPROM for firmware storage. It only reserves one EIA-232-D console serial port and one 8-bit IndustryPack expansion slot, without SCSI controller and Ethernet transceiver. It only supports VMEbus A16/D16 slave mode and cannot work as a bus master. The onboard firmware monitor supports serial debug and system boot setup. This board has long been discontinued in original production, and the available units are refurbished replacement parts for legacy systems.

This VME slave board is designed for simple auxiliary I/O tasks in old VME racks. It relies on the IndustryPack mezzanine slot to add custom signal acquisition modules and communicates with the main CPU board through limited VME slave access. The simple circuit layout brings stable performance in low-interference industrial environments. It maintains good compatibility with early VxWorks and other vintage real-time operating systems.
