MODICON MA-P884-001, also known as MAP884001 or P884, is an AC input rack power supply module developed for the legacy AEG Modicon 884 programmable controller rack system. It supports 120/240 VAC wide selectable mains input with frequency range of 47 to 63 Hz, converting alternating current into stable regulated direct current to supply power for the rack backplane, controller board, communication modules and discrete as well as analog I/O cards inside the automation rack. This power unit integrates comprehensive protection circuits including overvoltage, overcurrent, short-circuit and thermal shutdown, which can effectively protect the whole PLC rack from damage caused by load faults and electrical transients. It adopts standard plug-in rack slot installation and can be directly inserted into the dedicated backplane of Modicon 884 series without mechanical modification. The front panel is equipped with clear LED status indicators to display power normal signal and fault alarm, helping field engineers quickly identify abnormal conditions and complete maintenance troubleshooting. Built-in EMI filtering circuit suppresses power line noise and voltage spikes generated by contactors, inverters and other heavy industrial equipment, providing clean and stable power for long-term continuous operation in harsh factory environments. As an obsolete original spare part, it is widely used for maintenance and retrofit of aging Modicon 884 automation control racks.
