MODICON CGD21-TB is a permanent magnet brushless servo motor from the legacy AEG Modicon CGD21 motion family. It adopts resolver feedback instead of standard incremental encoder, delivering reliable position and speed signal even under harsh vibration and high temperature workshop conditions. This servo motor matches with the dedicated AEG Modicon servo drive to build closed-loop motion control for automated indexing, rotary positioning, electronic cam and multi-axis synchronization tasks. It features high torque density, low rotor inertia and fast dynamic response, supporting frequent start-stop and rapid acceleration and deceleration for packaging machinery, transfer lines and special automation equipment. The heavy-duty cast housing, sealed bearing assembly and reinforced flange structure support long-term continuous cyclic operation. Built-in winding thermal sensor provides overtemperature protection to prevent burnout during stall or overload. The dedicated power and resolver connectors ensure stable signal and power transmission over long wiring runs. Transient suppression design reduces electromagnetic interference caused by nearby frequency converters and contactors. As an obsolete original electromechanical spare part, it is widely used for maintenance and retrofit of aging AEG Modicon CGD21 motion control systems.
