Product Details:
MODICON ASP890300 is an intelligent remote I/O processor and powered RIO receiver built for Modicon 800 series distributed automation platforms. It serves as the core interface between the main PLC controller and remote 800 I/O racks, transmitting digital and analog field signals through single or redundant coaxial RIO cables. This unit retains backward compatibility with legacy P890 and P892 predecessors, supporting dual cable redundant network configuration to improve communication reliability for critical process lines. It integrates onboard power supply for downstream remote I/O racks, simplifying cabinet wiring layout for distributed nodes. Designed for rack mounting inside standard control cabinets, it adopts industrial-grade circuit design with built-in EMC and surge suppression to resist electromagnetic interference in heavy industrial environments. As an obsolete original spare part, it is mainly used for maintenance and retrofit of old Modicon RIO automation systems. Using the original replacement unit can preserve the existing coaxial network architecture, avoid large-scale rewiring and effectively reduce production downtime.
