MODICON AS-BADU-214 is an A120 series multi-function analog input module for legacy Modicon Compact PLC platforms. It supports flexible configuration, capable of accepting four 4-wire RTD sensors or up to eight analog input channels for voltage and current signals, covering common industrial ranges including 0-10 V, ±10 V, 4-20 mA and ±20 mA. This module converts continuous analog signals transmitted from field transmitters, temperature probes and pressure sensors into digital values that can be read and processed by the host CPU. It communicates with the controller through the dedicated backplane bus and uploads scaled process data for closed-loop regulation, monitoring and alarm logic. It adopts compact rack mounting for A120 backplane, with front-panel LED indicators to show module ready status and channel fault warnings for quick on-site diagnosis. Integrated filtering and surge suppression circuits reduce interference induced by long field cables in heavy noise industrial environments. As an obsolete original spare part, it is used for maintenance and retrofit of aging Modicon Compact process control systems. Direct replacement keeps the existing sensor wiring, channel scaling configuration and rack layout unchanged, eliminating the need to redesign analog loops and cutting production downtime.
