Product Details:
MODICON AS-9584-000, also known as PC-0984-381, is a mid-range rack-mounted CPU controller of the classic Modicon 984 family, originally released under AEG Modicon. It serves as the core processing unit for the automation rack, equipped with 16K user logic memory and 2K register memory for ladder logic execution, arithmetic operation, interlock control and closed-loop process regulation. This processor carries dual built-in Modbus serial ports for connecting programming terminals, HMI and SCADA host systems, and supports S908 remote I/O bus expansion to build distributed I/O architecture. It adopts dedicated rack mounting for Modicon 984 backplane and can work with matched power supply, local I/O modules and remote I/O drops. Front panel LED indicators display run status, communication activity and fault alarms for quick field inspection and troubleshooting. Industrial-grade circuitry with built-in surge suppression and EMC filtering guarantees stable continuous operation under heavy electromagnetic interference on factory floors. It relies on backup battery to retain user program and register data after power failure, and it is compatible with Modsoft programming software. As an obsolete original spare part, it is reserved for maintenance and retrofit of legacy Modicon 984 automation systems. Direct drop-in replacement keeps the existing control program, remote I/O layout and serial communication configuration unchanged, avoiding large-scale system reconstruction and cutting production downtime.
