MODICON 120-085-001 is a dedicated servo amplifier drive unit for legacy AEG Modicon motion control systems. It receives motion command signals issued by the motion controller and converts them into power output to drive matched brushless servo motors, implementing closed-loop speed and position regulation for automated positioning and synchronisation tasks. This drive works together with encoder feedback to form a closed servo loop, supporting indexing, continuous running and electronic cam motion on rotary machinery and transfer lines. It adopts compact cabinet mounting design, with front LED indicators for power ready, drive enable, fault alarm and encoder signal status to facilitate rapid on-site diagnosis. Built-in EMC filtering and surge suppression circuits protect internal power stages from voltage spikes and electromagnetic interference generated in heavy industrial environments. It also integrates overcurrent, overvoltage and overtemperature protection to prevent damage during overload or stall conditions. As an obsolete original electromechanical spare part, it is used for maintenance and retrofit of aging Modicon motion automation equipment.
