Product Details:

KOLLMORGEN AKM52G-CCCNR-00 is a high inertia permanent magnet synchronous servo motor from Kollmorgen AKM series, fitted with ComCoder incremental commutation encoder and keyway shaft. It adopts 142mm IEC flange and G winding configuration, delivering stable high continuous torque and large rotor inertia, specially designed for heavy roll-to-roll synchronous axes that require precise speed follow-up and steady tension regulation. ComCoder outputs incremental pulse signals and motor commutation data, which is a cost-effective feedback solution for synchronized motion without absolute position memory after power loss.

This servo motor sends incremental pulse and commutation signals to matched Kollmorgen AKD servo drives to build closed-loop speed and tension control. It excels at master-slave synchronization for multi-roll systems, maintaining consistent speed ratio between driving rollers. Separate rotatable M23 dual connectors for power and feedback circuits isolate power noise from sensitive pulse signals and reduce electromagnetic interference inside high-power electrical cabinets equipped with inverters.

This variant is non-brake design without integrated holding brake, intended for horizontal unwinding, rewinding rollers and continuous calender transfer axes where static shaft locking after power failure is not required. The keyway shaft provides firm torque transmission with gearboxes and pulleys and prevents slippage under variable tension load. The stator winding uses Class F insulation material and integrates PTC thermal sensor for real-time overheat protection during long-hour continuous cyclic operation. The motor housing reaches IP54 protection grade to resist workshop dust and incidental liquid splashing. Optimized low cogging magnetic circuit suppresses torque ripple, ensuring uniform rotation speed which is critical to avoid material stretching, wrinkling and registration deviation.

It supports torque control, speed control and position control modes, and all motion parameters can be tuned conveniently via Kollmorgen WorkBench software. Standard IEC flange mounting dimensions support direct replacement of legacy AKM motors, simplifying on-site equipment renovation and spare part swap. Every finished motor passes complete factory validation before shipment, including ComCoder pulse signal calibration, synchronous speed stability test, heavy inertia cycling test, insulation resistance inspection and vibration noise monitoring to guarantee stable performance in multi-shift continuous production lines.

It is widely deployed on textile calender lines, heavy paper coating machines, flexible film extrusion equipment, large roll converting systems and nonwoven processing machinery. Typical application axes include synchronized calender rollers, unwinding and rewinding drums, web guiding modules and continuous coating auxiliary drives. Automation integrators select this high-inertia ComCoder variant for its reliable synchronous tracking, stable heavy-load speed regulation and seamless compatibility with Kollmorgen AKD motion control ecosystem.
