Product Details:

KOLLMORGEN AKM44G-ANCNR-00 is a heavy-duty permanent magnet synchronous servo motor of Kollmorgen AKM series, built on 115mm IEC flange with EnDat single-turn absolute encoder and smooth plain shaft. The G winding variant delivers higher continuous torque and larger rotor inertia than E frame versions, suitable for heavy rotary indexing and limited-stroke linear positioning axes that need stable torque output under high inertia load.

This servo motor uses high-resolution EnDat single-turn absolute encoder for position feedback. It captures accurate rotor angle and speed data and transmits digital signals to matched Kollmorgen AKD servo drives, forming a high-precision closed-loop motion system. Within one rotation range, absolute position can be obtained directly after power-on, eliminating homing work for short-travel positioning applications. Separate rotatable M23 power and feedback connectors separate power circuits from sensitive signal circuits and reduce electromagnetic noise interference inside high-power control cabinets.

This variant is non-brake design without integrated holding brake, intended for horizontal heavy rotary tables and large feed axes where static shaft locking after power loss is not required. The smooth plain shaft supports flexible coupling assembly to match different transmission structures. The stator winding uses Class F insulation material and integrates PTC thermal sensor for real-time overheat protection during long-cycle heavy load operation. The motor housing reaches IP54 protection grade to resist workshop dust and incidental liquid splashing. Optimized low cogging magnetic circuit suppresses torque ripple, ensuring smooth rotation and steady positioning accuracy even when driving large inertia payloads.

It supports torque control, speed control and position control modes, and all motion parameters can be tuned conveniently via Kollmorgen WorkBench software. Standard IEC mounting dimensions support direct replacement of legacy AKM motors, simplifying on-site equipment renovation and spare part swap. Every finished motor passes complete factory validation before shipment, including EnDat signal calibration, heavy inertia cycling test, insulation resistance inspection and vibration noise monitoring to guarantee stable performance in multi-shift heavy industrial production lines.

It is widely deployed on heavy rotary indexing equipment, large-format packaging turntables, metal processing positioning stations, heavy auxiliary axes of injection molding machines and automated heavy transfer systems. Typical application axes include big rotary positioning tables, heavy short-stroke feed slides, large turret modules and reciprocating heavy pushing platforms. Automation integrators select this single-turn EnDat heavy inertia variant for its consistent heavy-load positioning performance, stable low-speed running and seamless compatibility with Kollmorgen AKD motion control ecosystem.
