Product Details:

KOLLMORGEN AKM42E-ANCNR-00 is a 84mm frame permanent magnet synchronous servo motor from Kollmorgen AKM series, configured with EnDat single-turn absolute encoder and smooth standard shaft. It delivers stable medium continuous torque and reliable overload capacity, designed for repetitive positioning axes that only need absolute position detection within one rotation and do not require multi-turn revolution counting.

This servo motor uses high-resolution EnDat single-turn absolute encoder for feedback. It captures precise rotor angle and speed data and transmits digital signals to matched Kollmorgen AKD servo drives to build a high-precision closed-loop motion control system. The single-turn encoder provides accurate position value after power-on without homing within one rotation range, which fits rotary indexing and limited-stroke linear feed applications. Separate rotatable power and feedback connectors separate power circuit from sensitive signal circuit and reduce electromagnetic interference inside dense electrical cabinets.

This variant is non-brake version without integrated holding brake, suitable for horizontal feed axes, rotary tables and cyclic transfer structures where static shaft locking is unnecessary. The stator winding adopts Class F insulation material to resist temperature rise under continuous cyclic load. The motor housing reaches IP54 protection grade to defend against workshop dust and accidental liquid splashing. Optimized low cogging magnetic circuit suppresses torque ripple, enabling smooth and stable rotation at low speed and rated speed without obvious vibration.

It supports torque control, speed control and position control modes, and all motion parameters can be tuned via Kollmorgen drive software. Standard IEC mounting flange dimensions support direct replacement of legacy AKM motors, lowering the workload for equipment renovation and spare part swap. Every finished motor passes complete factory validation before shipment, including encoder signal calibration, load cycling test, insulation resistance inspection and vibration noise monitoring to guarantee stable performance in multi-shift production.

It is widely applied in continuous packaging machinery, labeling rotary stations, conveyor diverting modules, plastic auxiliary feeding axes and light material handling equipment. Typical application axes include indexing rotary tables, linear feed slides, label positioning units and reciprocating pushing mechanisms. Automation integrators select this single-turn EnDat model for its cost-effective positioning function, simple signal configuration and seamless compatibility with Kollmorgen AKD motion ecosystem.
