Product Details:
KOLLMORGEN AKM42E-ANCNLB00 is a 84mm frame permanent magnet synchronous servo motor from Kollmorgen AKM series, equipped with EnDat2.1 battery-less multi-turn absolute encoder and rated speed up to 6000 rpm. It outputs steady medium torque and maintains excellent dynamic response, designed for high-cycle positioning axes that retain full position data after power loss without backup battery.
This servo motor adopts EnDat2.1 multi-turn absolute feedback with 4096 revolution counting capacity. It captures rotor angle, rotation count and velocity data and transmits digital signals to matched Kollmorgen AKD servo drives, forming a high-precision closed-loop motion system. No homing sequence is required after restart, which greatly shortens machine reset time following unexpected power cuts. Separated rotatable M23 power and feedback connectors isolate power circuits from sensitive signal circuits and suppress electromagnetic interference inside compact control cabinets.
This variant is non-brake design without integrated holding brake, suitable for horizontal feed axes and continuous transfer mechanisms where static shaft locking is not required. It is fitted with built-in PTC temperature sensor for real-time winding overheat protection. The stator winding uses Class F insulation material to withstand heat accumulation under repeated high-speed cyclic operation. The motor housing reaches IP54 protection grade against workshop dust and incidental liquid splashing. Optimized low cogging magnetic circuit reduces torque ripple for stable and quiet rotation across low and high speed ranges.
It supports torque control, speed control and position control modes, and all motion parameters can be configured and tuned via Kollmorgen drive software. Standard IEC mounting dimensions support direct replacement of legacy AKM motors, simplifying on-site equipment renovation and spare part swap. Every finished motor passes complete factory validation before shipment, including EnDat memory retention test, high-speed endurance test, PTC thermal inspection, insulation resistance check and vibration noise monitoring to guarantee stable performance in multi-shift production environments.
It is widely deployed on transfer press auxiliary axes, automated metal stamping lines, high-speed packaging conveyors, rotary positioning tables and automated assembly cells. Typical application axes include progressive feed slides, cross transfer modules, indexing positioning units and continuous material pulling mechanisms. Machine integrators select this battery-less multi-turn variant for its power-off position memory function, maintenance-free encoder design and seamless compatibility with Kollmorgen AKD motion control ecosystem.
