KOLLMORGEN 6SM57S-3000 is a medium frame synchronous servo motor of the well-known Seidel 6SM series, widely applied on ENGEL injection molding machines and die-casting automation production lines. This S variant is configured with resolver feedback instead of optical encoder, which features excellent anti-vibration and high temperature resistance, making it suitable for harsh workshop conditions filled with oil mist and electromagnetic noise. It runs at rated speed of 3000 rpm, mainly responsible for the drive of core pull axes, ejector axes and auxiliary closed-loop hydraulic adjustment axes of plastic molding equipment, maintaining stable torque output under repeated cyclic loads.

This servo motor transmits rotor angle and speed information to the matched Kollmorgen SERVOSTAR servo drive through resolver signal to build a complete closed-loop motion control system. Independent circular connectors are used for power line and feedback line separately to reduce signal crosstalk. The stator winding adopts class F insulation, and the motor housing reaches IP64 protection level to block dust and oil mist. The rotor inertia is reasonably optimized to achieve smooth acceleration and deceleration, effectively reducing position overshoot during high-speed molding cycles.

Technicians can adjust speed loop, position loop and feedforward parameters via Kollmorgen dedicated drive software according to machine process requirements. A built-in PTC temperature sensor keeps monitoring winding temperature in real time. If overheating, overload or resolver signal interruption is detected, the servo drive will quickly cut off power output and send alarm information to prevent mold collision and motor burnout. The reinforced mechanical structure can withstand continuous vibration generated by hydraulic pumps and valve actions.
