The Schneider 140DAI34000 discrete input module is a digital signal acquisition module for Modicon Quantum PLC automation system, equipped with 16 channels of 24V AC digital input, used to collect on-site switch status signals and transmit them to the Quantum CPU for logic processing. Each channel supports 24V AC input, with per-point input current 10.7~12mA and maximum leakage current 1.9mA. This module occupies 1 input word in PLC address space, and consumes 180mA bus current with maximum power dissipation of 5.5W. Built-in channel fault detection circuit can identify abnormal input status and send diagnostic information to the Quantum CPU. Multiple LED indicators display channel on-off status and module fault alarm, helping maintenance staff quickly check field signal state. It can be directly inserted into the Quantum backplane rack and supports hot swap for convenient module replacement during system maintenance. This original Schneider product was discontinued on Feb 23,2026 and end-of-service on Dec 31,2030, widely stocked as spare replacement parts for maintenance and upgrade of legacy industrial automation systems.
