The Schneider 140CRA31200C conformal coated Ethernet RIO drop adapter module belongs to Modicon Quantum PLC automation platform, acting as remote I/O drop head adapter for Ethernet RIO system and compatible with 140CRP31200 main rack module. The PCB circuit board is coated with Humiseal 1A33 conformal coating, which can effectively protect internal electronic components against moisture, dust and corrosive gas, ensuring stable continuous operation in chemical plants, offshore platforms and other severe industrial sites. It exchanges field I/O data with the main processor over Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP protocol. This module comes with 3 Ethernet ports, supporting daisy chain and ring network topology to realize redundant Ethernet communication and improve network fault tolerance. It collects input signals from local I/O modules on the remote drop rack and transmits data to the main rack controller, meanwhile receiving output commands from CPU to drive field output modules. Multiple LED indicators display module status, network status, RUN state and I/O fault alarm, enabling engineers to quickly locate communication and hardware faults. It can be directly mounted on Quantum backplane rack and supports hot swap for convenient on-site maintenance and replacement without shutting down the whole system. It adopts IP20 protection structure and works stably within 0℃~60℃ ambient temperature. This original Schneider product was discontinued on Jul 10,2022 and end-of-service on Dec 31,2029, widely stocked as spare replacement parts for maintenance and upgrade of legacy Ethernet remote I/O automation systems under harsh environments.
