The Schneider 140CRA21220 DIO drop interface module is a high-reliability remote distributed I/O communication adapter of Modicon Quantum PLC automation platform, equipped with two redundant DIO communication ports for stable remote I/O network connection. This DIO drop interface module adopts 24 V DC rated power supply with voltage range from 20 to 30 V DC. It undertakes data transmission between Quantum main CPU and remote I/O stations, realizing high-speed exchange of digital input and output signals. The dual redundant DIO ports greatly improve communication reliability, avoiding system shutdown caused by single cable failure. The module can transmit I/O data to the main processor and feed back fault diagnosis information of remote stations, helping operators monitor the running status of distributed I/O points in real time. It can be directly inserted into the Quantum backplane rack, adopts standard hot pluggable structure for convenient installation and replacement during system maintenance. Integrated overcurrent and short-circuit protection circuits improve the stability of remote I/O network. This original Schneider product was discontinued on May 31,2023 and end-of-service on Dec 31,2030, widely stocked as spare replacement parts for maintenance and upgrade of legacy distributed industrial automation systems. It is widely deployed in power, petrochemical, water treatment and manufacturing plants as redundant remote I/O drop interface for Modicon Quantum automation racks.
