The Schneider 140CRA21210C conformal coated DIO drop interface module is a rugged remote distributed I/O communication adapter of Modicon Quantum PLC automation platform, built for distributed signal acquisition and control in humid, dusty and corrosive industrial environments. This DIO drop interface module supports rated supply voltage of 115/230 V AC, voltage range from 85 to 276 V and working frequency 47 to 63 Hz, equipped with one redundant DIO communication port for reliable remote bus connection. The PCB circuit board is coated with Humiseal 1A33 conformal coating, which can effectively protect internal electronic components against moisture, dust and corrosive gas, ensuring stable continuous operation in chemical plants, offshore platforms and other severe industrial sites. It undertakes data transmission between Quantum main CPU and remote I/O stations, realizing high-speed exchange of digital input and output signals. The redundant DIO port enhances network stability and reduces communication interruption risk. The module can transmit I/O data to the main processor and feed back fault diagnosis information of remote stations, helping operators monitor the running status of distributed I/O points in real time. It can be directly inserted into the Quantum backplane rack, adopts standard hot pluggable structure for convenient installation and replacement during system maintenance. Integrated overcurrent and short-circuit protection circuits improve the stability of remote I/O network. This original Schneider product was discontinued on Nov 1,2022 and end-of-service on Nov 20,2022, widely stocked as spare replacement parts for maintenance and upgrade of legacy distributed industrial automation systems under harsh environments.
