The Schneider 140CPU65150 Unity processor module is a high-performance dual-slot core control unit for Modicon Quantum PLC automation platform, designed for medium and large industrial process control projects. This modicon quantum cpu module adopts a 32-bit RISC processor running at 166MHz clock frequency, equipped with 768kB built-in RAM for program and data storage, fully supporting IEC61131-3 standard programming languages and operated by Unity Pro / EcoStruxure Control Expert software. It integrates one built-in 10/100Mbps Ethernet port, two Modbus serial ports and one Modbus Plus communication port, supporting data exchange with local I/O modules, S908 remote I/O stations, distributed I/O stations, HMI panels and other field automation equipment. It can support up to 2 local racks, maximum 31 S908 remote I/O stations and 63 distributed I/O stations over Modbus Plus network. The onboard Ethernet port supports TCP/IP communication, web diagnostic function and Ethernet remote I/O scanning, which greatly expands network communication capability. The module supports high-speed interrupt inputs, event time stamping and high-precision counter functions to meet complex and precise process control requirements. A hardware watchdog timer continuously monitors program execution status and triggers safety protection actions automatically when abnormal operation occurs. It occupies two adjacent slots on Quantum backplane rack and can cooperate with full series of Quantum power supply, I/O and communication modules to build complete distributed control systems. This original Schneider product was discontinued on June 4,2026 and end-of-service on Dec 31,2026, widely stocked as spare replacement parts for maintenance and upgrade of legacy industrial automation systems. It is widely deployed in power, petrochemical, metallurgy, water treatment and manufacturing plants as the core controller for medium and large Modicon Quantum automation racks.
