The Schneider 140CPU43412UC conformal coated Unity processor module is a high-reliability core control unit of Modicon Quantum PLC automation platform, specially designed for humid, dusty and corrosive industrial environments. This modicon quantum cpu module adopts 80486 processor running at 66MHz clock frequency and integrates built-in floating-point coprocessor to handle complex floating-point calculation and PID closed-loop regulation. The PCB circuit board is coated with Humiseal 1A33 conformal coating, which can effectively protect internal electronic components against moisture, dust and corrosive gas, ensuring stable long-term operation in chemical plants, offshore platforms and other harsh industrial sites. It is equipped with 1056kB internal RAM for program and data storage, fully compatible with Unity Pro / EcoStruxure Control Expert software and IEC61131-3 standard programming languages. It integrates two RS232 Modbus serial ports and one Modbus Plus communication port, supporting data exchange with local I/O modules, S908 remote I/O stations, distributed I/O, HMI touch screens and other field automation equipment. It can support up to 64 local I/O words, 64 remote I/O words and 30/32 distributed I/O words, supporting up to 31 remote drops and 63 distributed drops on Modbus Plus network. A fixed 250ms hardware watchdog timer is configured to detect abnormal program execution and trigger safety protection actions automatically. The onboard lithium battery retains RAM data and real-time clock information, with clock drift of ±8 seconds per day within 0~60℃ operating temperature range, and the lithium battery service life can reach up to 10 years. It can be directly plugged into Quantum backplane rack and cooperate with full series of Quantum power supply, I/O and communication modules to build complete distributed control systems. This original Schneider product has been discontinued, widely stocked as spare replacement parts for maintenance and upgrade of legacy Unity-based industrial automation systems. It is widely used in power, petrochemical, natural gas pipeline, metallurgy, water treatment and manufacturing plants as the core controller for large Modicon Quantum automation racks running Unity control software under harsh industrial environments.
