The RELIANCE 0-57421 pulsetach input module is a discontinued pulse tachometer acquisition card for Reliance Electric AutoMax DCS5000 distributed control system, widely used in metallurgy, papermaking, rolling mill and other heavy-duty production lines requiring high-precision speed and position tracking. It receives A/B/Z phase pulse signals from incremental encoders or pulse tachometers, calculates rotation speed, direction and cumulative position, and transmits the processed data to the AutoMax processor for speed closed-loop regulation and master-slave synchronous control.

This module adopts high-speed counter and pulse decoding circuit design. It supports 5VDC to 12VDC pulse input, with maximum input frequency up to 100kHz. It integrates 24-bit counting register, supports quadrature counting and zero-index latch function, and can capture Z-phase pulse to reset or calibrate position value.
